There Is No USA II

 Scientists have a saying, there's no Earth II. The same can be said about the United States of America, there's no USA II. In January for the first time in our history we did NOT have a peaceful transfer of power. No, we had an attempted coup, which now is being downplayed as a mere political riot. 

About the coup attempt on January 6, I watched it play out live on TV. My conclusions as to what I was watching on January 6, it was a violent attempt to prevent the crucial next to last step in our peaceful transfer of power process. 

Now we are at this perilous point in the history of the United States. It is definitely the most dangerous place since the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860. We have three counties in western Maryland that want to be adopted by more conservative West Virginia. 90210 wants to secede from California and part of Oregon wants to divorce their counties from the liberal Portland Metro counties. 

That's rich. Their Proud Boys patrol the streets of Portland hassling anyone they think looks gay, or behaves gay, or worse might be Black and gay. You remember Proud Boys, Trump told them in the last debate against Joe Biden to "stand back and stand by". 

When the Proud Boys and their friends the Boogaloo Boies, 3%ers, and Oath Keepers were done standing by, they attacked a joint session of the United States Congress. They were joined by a contingent of MAGA supporters, fired up by Rep. Mo Brooks, suspended lawyer Rudy G and TFG. Oh let's not forget Mr. Steve Bannon.

Steve Bannon has been spreading falsehoods about Donald Trump, conservative America, and even God ever since being fired by The Former Guy (TFG). When examining 1/6, first you have to remember that there were several conservative media outlets pushing the same falsehood about the election fraud. On his podcast which he claims has been streamed millions of times, on the day before the coup, Bannon predicted all Hell was going to break loose. Turns out he was either in on it or a 21st century prophet and we know the latter is extremely unlikely.

Now he defiantly says Congress has no authority over him because Donald says they don't. This despite the fact that the current holder of executive privilege has ordered the National Archives to comply with the Select Committees documents requests. Considering the Federal Dist. Ct. for DC says Trump can't prevent the National Archives from turning over the papers under subpoena. Bannon's assertions are criminally reckless because even after the failed coup attempt, he continues to promote the lie that radicalized formally normal Americans. Well, normal Republicans might be a better way to put that.

Steve Bannon is attempting to overthrow an election his candidate lost and to that end, a democratic republic that has stood for 240 years. His only protection in a Congressional Hearing is for Mr. Steve to repeatedly take "The Fifth", like a Mafia Don, not an American patriot. Mafia Dons and patriots, even one as despicable as Ollie North, show up when subpoenaed and answer questions.

We cannot ignore the Evangelicals that claim Trump was chosen by God. Let's look at what Bannon was doing after he got fired from the White House. He set up shop outside Rome to bring down Pope Francis. What does Stevo dislike about the Holy See, he's way too liberal. According to Steve, Jesus wasn't that liberal. What Jesus has Bannon been studying?

Then there's disgraced retired Gen. Mike Flynn, he recently said that if we're going to be one nation under God, then there needs to be only one religion. I predicted this was coming a year ago, in my essay "Trump is Fascism" https://caseysdream.blogspot.com/2020/11/trumpism-is-fascism.html. 

TFG filed a response on his executive privilege claims. The thrust is that to allow the Congress to subpoena people makes Congress too powerful. Compared to what? Compared to the Executive Branch, is that the claim? DC Federal Dist. Ct.'s opinion, wrong again cheeto brain.

This is the essential issue this country is currently dealing with. The Republican Party has sworn an oath of loyalty to Trump. The same oath of loyalty that got James Comey fired for not taking. The attack on democracy began under the first McCarthy, Joe. And since then the Republican party has attacked democracy on its flanks. 

Bannon says he's waging war on liberals, he's been saying that ever since he hit the scene. He wants to inspire his listeners to become GOP Jihadists and wage a Christian war on American citizens. He wants to wage a Crusade against America and the Holy See. Why, because America is trying to become as liberal as it became after WWII.

The GOP is attacking the government that my mother's family was around to help begin. They keep saying they are taking my country back from me. They are setting their party up as the decider of who is American. They want to decide who gets to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Now they want to make Evangelical Christianity (whatever that is) the national religion. They attack the free press as the enemy of the people. 

They went to court claiming that you have the right to ignore city wide curfews, bring an illegal AR rifle to ANOTHER city and shoot YOU if they believe your protest is in their opinion a riot. And with the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse in Wisconsin, it's now precedent. 

Today's GOP under the leadership of Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy, are attempting a quiet coup. On January 6, it got noisier than they wanted, but make no mistake, they want a theocratic autocratic coup. They finally want Karl Rove's wet dream, a permanent minority of conservatives in the majority of government offices, governing a majority liberal population. 

One of the first things Democrats ,with true control of the Senate, would do is resurrect HR-1 which was received by the Senate back in March. A major provision of which is outlawing the current gerrymandering system that allows politicians to choose their voters instead of voters choosing their leaders.

The only way to cut off this coup against America, is for every citizen of voting age to come out and in one massive voter turnout, turnout the Republican National Committee from every office they currently hold. Even with their gerrymandering, if we get the non-voters off the couch and into the voting booths, the coup can be stopped and USA One saved.
